The
iPad 1 is the first version of the iPad - a highly portable tablet computer designed for web access, email, music,
movies and other multimedia applications, falling somewhere between a laptop and a smartphone. It shares many features

Something to be aware of when buying an iPad: There are three different generations of iPad - the original iPad 1, the second iPad 2 and the latest iPad 3 and they are often all referred to as just 'iPad' so make sure you know which version you are buying! All three look very similar. The iPad 1 had no camera whereas iPad 2 and iPad 3 both have front & rear cameras and look almost identical. iPad 3 is slightly heavier.
