The
iPad 3 is the latest version of the iPad with Retina display and HD video camera. Designed for web access, email, music,
movies and other multimedia applications, falling somewhere between a laptop and a smartphone, it shares many features
of the iPhone & iPod Touch but with a much larger display. Like the iPod & iPhone,
it only runs applications downloaded from Apple's App Store but it does come with a full featured web browser & email

Something to be aware of when buying an iPad: There are three different generations of iPad - the original iPad 1, the second iPad 3 and the latest iPad 3 and they are often all referred to as just 'iPad' so make sure you know which version you are buying!
